The Raymetrics 3D Polarization Scanning LIDAR (PMeye) is used to map the presence of aerosols. It produces a three-dimensional map of the aerosol field
LIDAR is an excellent tool to identify all possible PM sources related to plant activities. Additionally, by using LIDAR data we can correlate specific plant activities with dust emission and provide detailed mapping of dust plumes
Raymetrics LIDAR can be programmed to operate in different scanning modes and to execute complex scanning scenarios. These scenarios can be triggered by the user, by a time stamp or even by an external event
Integration with in-situ sensors offers full coverage of the facility

Observing

• Wide coverage: A single didin can cover 5 square Km area and identify all PM sources.
• 3D monitoring: LIDAR is the only technology that can monitor horizontal and vertical PM dispersion
• High sensitivity: LIDARs are highly sensitive to PM particles and can identify them, even when they are not visible by eye or video camera
• Real-time information: All data are provided in real-time, giving a good understanding of the temporal behavior of the PM productions.

Simulation of emissions

Raymetrics integrated Forecasting System (RFS) in an optimal setup. It considers the specific characteristics of the area where the industrial plant is located (e.g., close to the seacoast, or to small mountain ranges etc.)

Simulations can be performed, effectively, providing atmospheric conditions, particle matter (PM) and gas dispersion patterns (SOx, NOx)

A coupled modeling system can be used to assist measuring stations in assessing aerosol/dust plumes behavior relatively to wind conditions. It allows to evaluate the contribution of each source in the emission of pollutants
