Program: Operational Program «Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation», under the call RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE
Start date: 31/07/2018
Project duration: 35 Months
Project summary: To compensate for the limitations of conventional lidar techniques, innovative technologies have been proposed, such as High Spectral Resolution Lidar (HSRL). The HSRL technology (eg Eloranta, 2005), although is not widespread and not applicable on an operational basis, seems to solve many of the problems of conventional techniques with direct recovery of the aerosol attenuation coefficient, without assumptions. Another key advantage of this technique is the ability to measure particle properties day and night. The above make HSRL, unique tools of the study of the daily cycle of air pollution and monitoring transboundary pollution transport events.
